Therapy
A common misconception about childhood is that it is free of pain or stress. In fact, many children experience anxiety and pain that they express by acting out, shutting down, or disconnecting. At Mulligan Psychology Group our treatment focuses not only on the child, but also on the entire family system. Because children are embedded in their family and school systems, we incorporate regular family meetings and encourage contact with school when appropriate. Children communicate through play and our clinicians are playful, warm, and nurturing. We focus on meeting your child where they are, understanding the world through their vantage, and then building the necessary skills to create lasting change. We are heavily influenced by attachment theory and developmental psychology.
